Date: 13. 03. 2020. 13:00-16:00

Place: Participants will be notified via e-mail.

Topic of the workshop

The purpose of the workshop is to enable participants to identify the differences in the cultural identity of the other party, to become more open to the various cultures, and to achieve successful collaboration with students and colleagues from different cultural backgrounds. The workshop is aimed at developing intercultural sensitivity and developing a collaborative ability and tolerance that can be used not only in an international university environment but also at multinational companies.

Collaboration among students and staff of different nationalities is almost inevitable at the university and later at multinational companies. Intercultural cooperation is not an easy task, often accompanied by conflicts. Conflicts become largely avoidable, preventable, and manageable as someone becomes more aware of the cultural background of the “other” party and of the regularities of intercultural communication. The workshop can help students understand the nuances of cross-culture communication, and the importance of words, actions, gestures and body language in cultivating relationships with different people and groups.

The workshop is led by Dr. Gyöngyi Pozsgai, a marketing expert and intercultural trainer.
